The valedictory function of the special Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) training program on SMART GRIDS, for professionals from Indo-Pacific region, was conducted on 24 November 2023, at NETRA.

NTPC is conducting 4 training programs under the auspices of ITEC program, Development Partnership Administration, Ministry of External Affairs, India. The first capacity development module of the four programs, on Infrastructure for EV Deployment, was conducted in the first week of November 2023. The module on SMART GRIDS, which marked the second leg of the programs, was conducted from 20th Nov-24th Nov 2023 and saw participation of 20 professionals from 9 different countries of Indo-Pacific region.

The valedictory function, held at NETRA auditorium wherein the participants were felicitated with certification for the course, was followed by a cultural program conducted by students of NSB, along with contributions from the participants. The function was conducted in the presence of Dr J. S Chandok, General Manager (IBD), NTPC Ltd., Dr Rajeshwari Narendran, Director, NSB, Shri A. P. Dash Ex Dean, NSB, and other dignitaries of NSB.

The modules on Cross Border Energy Trading (CBET) and Micro Grids are to be conducted in Dec 2023 and Jan 2024.
